How much does ThermiRF cost?
The cost of a ThermiRF treatment can vary depending on the body area treated. At our practice, we work with patients to provide payment options to help make treatments more affordable. During your consultation, a member of our team will be able to discuss all out-of-pocket costs with you.
How does ThermiRF work?
Heating the skin internally (to as high as 160 degrees) allows more skin shrinkage than is possible with heating from the outside (like with a laser or external radiofrequency). While the outside of the skin can burn at about 125 degrees (not high enough temperature to cause real skin shrinkage), the internal layer of the skin be heated to at least 160 degrees safely.
What is the difference between ThermiRF and other nonsurgical skin tightening procedures?
Compared to other external nonsurgical skin tightening procedures, ThermiRF has proven to be much more effective at achieving noticeable and lasting results. Since it is able to internally heat the skin, results tend to be more apparent than if the skin was to be heated externally. Not only are results caused by the direct heating effect, but also from the continuing production of collagen.
How long can results last?
Many patients see results beginning in about one month after their ThermiRF treatment. Your body keeps forming additional collagen for at least six months. This collagen formation is responsible for both tightening and the overall improvement in the skin and that is why patients treated with ThermiRF note improvements for at least six months after their treatment.
Is a ThermiRF procedure painful?
With local or twilight sedation, you should not experience any pain during your ThermiRF procedure. Following the treatment, there may be some bruising and/or swelling but this typically subsides within a week or so. If you experience any significant pain at the treatment site, you should contact our facility immediately.
